Administration Welcome
Andy Gignac
Principal
Welcome to Eastover Elementary School! I am honored to become the principal of this outstanding school.
It is my goal to guarantee that each student experiences a sense of confidence and safety within the school environment, all the while receiving a top-tier education.
I have worked for 23 years in Bloomfield Hills Schools, first hired at Lone Pine Elementary School, teaching 3rd and 5th grades over the course of six years there. I then moved to West Hills Middle School, and became a 6th grade Social Studies teacher before transitioning to the role of Associate Principal for almost 11 years, followed by principal for the past two and a half years.
I hold an elementary teaching degree from Western Michigan University, a Masters degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership from Oakland University, and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership through Concordia University-Ann Arbor.
My wife, Julie, a Bloomfield Hills elementary school teacher, and I are the proud parents of Emily and Nathan. We enjoy hiking, skiing, spending time in Northern Michigan, and exploring new locations as a family. Emily will be entering her second year playing college soccer at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, and studying Elementary Education. While Nathan will be entering his junior year of high school. When not driving throughout the state to watch my kids play soccer, hockey, or football, I can be found playing ice hockey, attending college or professional sporting events, or spending time with family and friends.
